Nigel started his career in clerking in 1984. Having initially worked in a common law set and after that a commercial set, he has a wealth of experience in relation to the management of Barrister’s Chambers. He has been our Senior Clerk since 2002.

Nigel is an integral part of our organisation and has been instrumental in our growth and strategic planning. As Senior Clerk he is ultimately responsible for all aspects of Chambers operations but he is also, along with his colleagues,  your first point of contact for enquiries in relation to expertise, availability and cost.

Chambers & Partners legal directory notes in its newest (2013) edition: Clients remark on the efficiency and commerciality of the set, something which is ascribed in no little part to the presence of a strong clerking team led by Nigel Jones. This team ably assists barristers with "obvious expertise" who are "easy to use, sensible, commercial and competitively priced."
