Pupillage at the Specialist Bar: Recording and Materials
The Revenue Bar Association, in partnership with Lincoln’s Inn, 5RB, Erskine Chambers and Hogarth Chambers, hosted a panel event for students and prospective pupillage applicants to learn more about practice and opportunities at the specialist bar, focusing on Media, Company, Intellectual Property and Tax.
While the Bar is becoming more diverse, we know that certain areas of the specialist Bar struggle to attract a diverse range of applicants. The aim of the event was to explain why these areas of the specialist Bar suit a wide range of people, providing intellectual challenge and the opportunity to reach the highest courts.
The panel was chaired by Mrs Justice Bacon, the youngest woman ever to be appointed as a full time High Court Judge, and the panel comprised barristers currently thriving in each of these areas.
